Ceramic Braces – AKA “Clear Braces” versus Invisalign
What exactly is the difference between clear braces and Invisalign? Aren’t they the exact same thing? The answer is no. Ceramic braces are still attached as brackets the way Metal braces are but instead of using metal brackets they use clear ceramic brackets. These ceramic brackets are still then connected by wires but it is much less obvious to the latent eye that you have braces. However, Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible since they are clear aligners that are not attached to your teeth. Therefore, Ceramic braces and Invisalign aligners are very different. Invisalign and Clear Ceramic Braces Cost Nearly the Same
The truth is, the cost of Invisalign is very similar to that of clear braces. For patients without dental insurance, Invisalign is only $100 more. And with certain dental insurance providers, the fees can actually be the same!
