Traditional braces are the most common type of braces and are more comfortable today than ever before. Made of high-grade stainless steel, metal braces straighten your teeth using metal brackets and archwires and help you achieve your best smile.
NCOSO is pleased to offer metal braces with color to patients of all ages. With multi or single color braces, you can reveal your personal style or choose colors that match an outfit or help you celebrate a holiday. When you come to our office for an adjustment, we’ll provide you with a wide variety of color options to choose from. Once you select a color or multiple colors, we will wrap the colored bands around your brackets.

Invisalign® | NCOSO
Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable and comfortable aligners to straighten your teeth. Not only are the aligners invisible, but they are also removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing is less of a hassle. The aligners are comfortable and have no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.
Invisalign can make the road to straight teeth and a beautiful smile easy. With these clear aligners, you can achieve the smile you’ve always dreamed of in 18 months or less without dealing with the inconvenience that comes with traditional metal braces.
Here’s What You Can Expect From an Invisalign® Treatment at NCOSO
If you decide on Invisalign, you’ll be able to remove the aligners from your mouth and brush, floss, and rinse as you normally would. To clean the aligners, you simply brush them with a toothbrush or soak them in denture cleaner.
Comfort and Discreteness
One of the many benefits of Invisalign is comfort. Braces are often associated with the discomforts that come with poking wires and mouth sores. Fortunately, Invisalign aligners are comfortable and do not cause any irritation. In addition, Invisalign is the most discreet way of straightening teeth since the clear aligners are virtually invisible.
You won’t have to shy away from the foods you love with this treatment. With Invisalign, you’ll be able to eat popcorn, sticky caramel, hard cookies and crackers, corn on the cob, raw vegetables and other foods that would be difficult to eat with metal braces.
Sports and Musical Instrument Safety
If you play a sport or musical instrument, you don’t have to worry about breaking your braces or suffering from a mouth injury with Invisalign. All you have to do is remove your aligners prior to a game, concert, or practice and you are good to go!
Fewer Trips to the Orthodontist
Invisalign patients are only required to come to NCOSO once every 4 to 6 weeks making it easy for you to fit treatment into your busy schedule.
How does Invisalign work?
Inside every Invisalign clear aligner is a whole lot of technology. It starts with a simple scan using our iTero scanners (no goopy molds!) which your Orthodontist can use to give you a glimpse into what your future smile will look.
With Invisalign’s cutting edge software, we can create a digital roadmap for your entire Invisalign treatment. These roadmaps give you a greater understanding of each shift in your teeth & ultimately the purpose behind each shift. After the roadmap is created, Invisalign brings it to life by using 3D printers to create your custom aligners.
The real difference between Invisalign and other clear aligners is in the details, like precision trimming along the aligner edge so it doesn’t cut your gums as other brands can. Furthermore, only the Invisalign clear aligners are made with SmartTrack® material developed by biomechanical engineers. This special material allows Invisalign aligners to be more flexible for greater comfort and it hugs your teeth closer for a better fit and more accurate comfort.
Invisalign is a high-tech and efficient way to achieve straight teeth and confidence in your smile without making any significant changes to your everyday life. For more information on Invisalign, request an appointment with NCOSO today for your free, no-obligation consultation.
Clear Braces | NCOSO
Ceramic braces are made of clear materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. While they are visually less prominent, they do require a little more attention to oral hygiene and care as ceramic braces are slightly more brittle than their metal counterparts.
Ceramic or clear braces are used mainly on older teenagers and adult patients with cosmetic concerns. Invisible braces can provide you with a beautiful smile without the look of metal colored braces. Clear braces are unnoticeable and take away some of the stigmas that come with braces. Ceramic braces are the same size and shape as metal braces but have clear brackets that blend in with the teeth. There are options to use tooth-colored wires as well.
What do ceramic braces look like vs. metal braces?
Cleaning and Maintenance
While they are visually less prominent, they can require more attention to oral hygiene as ceramic braces are more brittle than traditional metal braces. To keep the clean, clear color, a small amount of additional attention is needed. Patients and doctors also indicate that this form of braces is much less painful on the mouth, lips, and gums than metal braces.
