Meet Dr. Tori

Your Pediatric Dentist at NCOSO

Dr. Victoria (Tori) Gill was born and raised in the small town of Sheridan, Wyoming, right at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains. Tori’s love for the great outdoors and passion for working with children was born from her many summers working as a camp counselor.

In school, Tori developed hand skills through years of playing the violin and furthered her love of art by spending all her free time in dance lessons and musical theater rehearsals. After graduating from Sheridan High School, Tori attended Harvard University and received her B.A. in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology, thoroughly relishing the opportunity to focus her studies on animal evolution and behavior. Tori spent a summer in Naples, Italy, studying octopus behavior under one of the world’s leading researchers in this field. Dr. Tori seriously considered zoological research or veterinary studies as career options but knew she would miss interacting with children on a daily basis. Once she began to explore dentistry as a career, she knew she had found the perfect career that would allow her to provide essential healthcare to children and incorporate artistic talents she had enjoyed all her life.

Tori went on to receive her D.D.S. from Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine and was subsequently accepted to a pediatric dentistry residency through NYU Langone Health in Providence, Rhode Island.  She also received the Pierre Fauchard Academy Oral Health Foundation Scholarship in 2018 and is a Rhode Island Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Other Related Disabilities Training Fellow.

In her spare time, Dr. Tori loves exploring different cuisines and activities and is excited about all that the Triangle region has to offer. Tori still has a huge love for all types of animals, always giving lots of cuddles to her cat (Albus), and is looking forward to adding a dog to her family in the near future. Tori and her husband enjoy spending time hiking and have a particular love for the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, as it was Grandfather Mountain where Evan proposed. They are both very happy to settle in NC and are looking forward to enjoying both the mountains and the beaches.

Over her career, Dr. Tori has grown dedicated to providing the best experience possible for every child who comes to see her. She truly believes patience is where you discover what a child needs.
